Why Excel is not enough for production

8–12%
average material waste in small manufacturers without batch traceability and BOM control (Deloitte Manufacturing, 2024)
2 days
average QC defect detection delay with paper checklists — with digital system detected in minutes
34%
faster recall response time for companies with digital vs paper traceability (FDA FSMA benchmark, 2023)

MES functionality without MES complexity

Work orders

Plan production from orders or schedule. Work order contains: product, quantity, BOM, deadline, responsible team.

Bill of materials (BOM)

Define BOM for each product: components, quantities, substitutions. Entexia automatically checks material availability before starting.

Material consumption and WMS

On order completion, the operator confirms material consumption. WMS updates automatically. Stock is always aligned with actual state.

Batch/lot traceability

From which lot does each product come? Entexia traces batches from incoming material to finished product. Meets food and pharmaceutical standards.

Quality control (QC)

Control checklist for each product type: measurement, visual inspection, test. Results archived with date, inspector, and order.

OEE and delay analytics

Where do delays occur? Which line has the worst OEE? Entexia collects times from work orders and displays analytics for the production manager.

Frequently asked questions

Does Entexia Production replace a MES system?
Entexia Production covers core MES functionality: work orders, BOM, material consumption, traceability, QC. For complex line production with real-time SCADA integrations, a dedicated MES is more appropriate.
How does BOM connect to WMS inventory?
When you open a work order, Entexia checks component availability in WMS. On order completion, consumption is automatically written off from inventory. Stock is always aligned.
Is batch traceability suitable for the food industry (HACCP)?
Yes. Entexia traces batches from incoming material (supplier, date, certificate) to finished product (batch, production date, QC). Suitable for HACCP and ISO 22000 documentation.
Is it possible to plan production with a Gantt chart?
Yes. The manager has a Gantt view of work orders by line, team, and schedule. Drag & drop to adjust schedules. Conflicts are visually highlighted.
How are QC results archived?
Each checklist is linked to the work order and serial number. Results are archived in DMS with the inspector's signature. Accessible for inspection at any time.
Does Production support subcontractors and outsourced work?
Yes. A work order can be partially or fully sent to a subcontractor. Subcontracting costs are recorded on the order. WMS tracks material sent to and received from the subcontractor.
